Digital Youth Training Program (DYTP)

The Digital Youth Training Program is a capacity-building initiative designed to equip youth and women innovators with essential skills, knowledge, and connections to facilitate the transformation of their research and solutions into sustainable market solutions. The program follows a hybrid learning model, combining both physical and virtual components. The physical sessions focus on hands-on learning, where participants engage with materials, tools, and expert trainers to integrate these resources into their solutions. The virtual component provides access to self-paced short courses on the Wazilab Learning Center, supported by dedicated webinars and self-learning opportunities.

The Program targets young entrepreneurs in Sub-Saharan Africa, prioritizing women, researchers, students, and the tech community. The pilot will run in Kenya and Tanzania through pre-selected Digital Innovation Hubs (DIHs), selecting 20 participants working on advanced AI or IoT solutions who want to enhance and transition their innovations to market. The program focuses on solutions in Water & Irrigation, Agriculture, Bio-Energy, and IoT in Space.

The program will take place over one week, from April 7th – 11th, 2025.
